How to Stick To Your New Years Health & Fitness Resolutions

2 Jan 2017, New Years Healthy Habits – Whilst I love the intentions of setting New Years Resolutions, I think it’s much better approached as ‘CREATING NEW HEALTHY HABITS’

The problem with a lot of Resolutions set around health and fitness is that most people set out to achieve a MASSIVE goal – trying to achieve TOO MUCH IN ONE BIG HIT – and inevitably fail without much focus, planning or direction  If you approach your resolutions as one large big chunk, it’s really challenging to achieve success as there is generally so much you need to change in your life and it then becomes too overwhelming to stay on track.

It’s a much healthier ‘mental path’ to achieving your health goals for 2017 by implementing small changes little by little in order to create a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE…. training your self and your body to form every day habits which ultimately lead to bigger long term results!

So sit down and work out this week, what is ‘ONE THING’ I need to change to set me on the right track to achieving my health and fitness goals in 2017. I am by no means saying that you shouldn’t have a larger goal, it’s just easier to approach it little by little, with smaller lifestyle changes each week in order to form healthy habits day in day out for a greater chance of success.

Here’s some examples..

-Drink Enough Water each day -Eat more fruit and vegetables – Plan your healthy snacks – Prepare your meals in advance – Workout 3 times each week – Get to bed earlier – Wake Up Earlier – Stretch once a week – Right down your to do list every night

It takes 21 days to form a new habit, so get started today with your number one priority.

Most importantly, be realistic, time bound and stay focused!

Here’s to a wonderful 2017 – Health and happiness always, Di xo
